Mozambique Activities

Mozambique is definitely becoming one of Southern Africa’s top holiday destinations. Having over 2500km of coastline by the Indian Ocean, including crystal clear water and white beaches where seashells come in all shapes and sizes; there is no reason why it shouldn’t be.

The waters have become the home ground for many of the water sports and activities including surfing, diving and fishing. Not only does Mozambican cater for the beach and sun loving tourists, but also gives the opportunity to visit animal reserves and national parks.

Safari & Wildlife

Safari tours are becoming more and more appealing to foreign tourist, which means they are turning to Mozambique for this lifetime experience.
Owing to Mozambique`s violent past having had a civil war from 1977 to 1992, much of the wild life was not looked after, leaving it to lose much of its wildlife. Since the peace deal was signed in1992 it became the time to restore these Animal Park and reserves. In the north of Mozambique there is one of the largest animal reserves located in Niassa, which is now starting to obtain the wild African bush back, the home for the majority of the animals. Not to mention there is also the Gorongosa National Park, the Quirimbas National Park and the Elephant Reserve close to Maputo.
The Gorongosa National Park is famous for its rehabilitation project and has become the hope for a large variety of species. Recently a national geographic documentary was made on the national reserve called, "Africa`s lost Eden". The documentary won many awards at the recent Berlin Film Festival.
