Mozambique Activities

Mozambique is definitely becoming one of Southern Africa’s top holiday destinations. Having over 2500km of coastline by the Indian Ocean, including crystal clear water and white beaches where seashells come in all shapes and sizes; there is no reason why it shouldn’t be.

The waters have become the home ground for many of the water sports and activities including surfing, diving and fishing. Not only does Mozambican cater for the beach and sun loving tourists, but also gives the opportunity to visit animal reserves and national parks.

Sports & Adventures

Mozambique is mostly known as a water sport holiday destination, having the perfect sites for divers, surfers and game fishers. Furthermore, in almost all of the lodges along the coast there is also the opportunity to go horse riding along the beach for a beautiful sunset or hiring the quad bikes with a guide and go explore the interior of the beach cities.
Golf is rapidly becoming a major sport especially in the more southern areas of Mozambique and there are now many upcoming projects to develop new golf courses. You still have the chance to play a round of 18 holes at the Polana Golf course in Maputo. It is a challenging course, as you have to share the fairway with the odd goats along the way and the greens are not always green! It is, however, a fun experience for the golf lovers.
Hiking has become a new adventure of Mozambican tourism; you now have the opportunity to explore the cultural city of Maputo by foot accompanied with a well-informed guide, or travel to the north where there would be more bush explore.
