Visas
All visitors are required to have a visa except those from the following countries: Swaziland, South Africa, Botswana and Zambia.
A single visitors visa for 30 days can be obtained at arrival, however it is highly recommended to get a visa from a Mozambican embassy or consulate.

Identification
During your stay, you are required to carry identification with you at all times, under the Mozambican law. However, we advise that instead of the original document that you carry a certified copy, which is also acceptable.
Airports
Mozambique as an efficient airport system, with three international airports, in Maputo, Beira and Nampula, and two for domestic traffic in Pemba and Vilanculos.

The Mozambican ports are in Maputo, Beira, Nacala and Pemba.
Entry of vehicles on tourist or business trips belonging to or driven by non-residents
Upon entry a temporary import license is required, this is acquired at the airport or border. The temporary imported vehicle cannot be sold or lent, and the documentation must be present at all times.

Driving
In Mozambique driving is the left. Drivers must carry: Identification, driver`s license, car registration, insurance (if applicable) and temporary imported license, which is also applicable for caravans, boats, etc.
Health
Visitors have to have been vaccinated against yellow fever and be in possession of the certificate. While in Mozambique precautions to avoid mosquito bites should be taken. In case medical assistance is required, clinics are available in the main cities.
Water
Local is reasonable safe, however in order to drink it should be first boiled and filtered or by adding a puri-tab (tablets that purify the water, widely available and very cheap). Buying mineral water is also another option.

Urban centres have the necessary postal services, as well as Express Mail.
Electrical supply
The local voltage is 220/240V 50Hz.

From Mozambique international direct connection is available through the international code or telephone operator. From aboard dial 00 258 follow by the number required. There are two mobile operators, Mcel (Mozambican operator) numbers start with 82, or Vodacom Mozambique (South African operator) numbers start with 84.
Internet
In Maputo internet is widely available, outside Maputo most hotels have internet connection or touristic destinations have internet cafes, however connection is slow.

Money
The Mozambican currency is the Metical (MZN). Exchange is easily done in the many exchange agencies and banks. US Dollars and Rands (South African currency) are accepted in many places, as well as Credit Cards.
